Regional mapping

The College of Asia and the Pacific houses one of the finest Asia Pacific map collections in the world. The collection of over 50,000 maps is managed by the CartoGIS team who produce maps, diagrams and interactive products for College lecturers, researchers and PhD candidates.

Products you can request from CartoGIS include:

  • Maps highlighting themes such as ethnicity, election results, transport systems, military placements, historic battles, disputed borders and archaeological sites.
  • Engaging interactive maps and diagrams to enhance your coursework material, improve your presentations, and include on Wattle/Moodle.
  • Professional-quality diagrams based on your sketches showing, for example, genealogy, archaeology, villages or clan structures.
  • GIS analysis and interpretation of your data collected in the field.
