The 2018 Hadi Soesastro Prize

Congratulations to Deasy Pane and Adrianus Hendrawan, recipients of the 2018 Hadi Soesastro Prizes.

This year’s awards are very special for us as both Deasy and Adrianus are PhD students at the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, ANU, and both are actively involved at the ANU Indonesia Project. Deasy writes about trade and industrial behaviour in Indonesia and is supervised by Arianto A. Patunru. Deasy is also a committee member of the Indonesia Study Group. Adrianus writes about political economy of decentralisation in Indonesia and is supervised by Blane Lewis.

The Hadi Soesastro Prize honours the late Hadi Soesastro 1945-2010, a long time friend and a big supporter of ANU Indonesia Project. This year’s event was held on 23 October at the Parliament House in Canberra, in conjunction with the Allison Sudradjat Prize.
