Since March 2010, the Institute for Economic and Social Research (LPEM) of the University of Indonesia, in collaboration with the Indonesia Project, has held two fortnightly discussion groups at LPEM-FEUI in Jakarta. The first group is the Kelompok Diskusi Sore Hari which discusses various public policy topics relevant to Indonesia such as Australia-Indonesia relations, the China-ASEAN free trade agreement, and recent developments in Papua. Attendees are typically from a wide range of backgrounds.
The second group is the Seminar Ekonomi Pembangunan which discusses various research topics related to the Indonesian economy. This group is mostly attended by economists.
