Latest issue of BIES now available

The December 2017 issue (53.3) of the Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies (BIES) opens with a Survey of Recent Developments, by Raden Pardede and Shirin Zahro, on the country’s domestic demand problem. It also includes articles by Vedi R. Hadiz, on Indonesia’s year of democratic setbacks; Maheshwar Rao and Yogi Vidyattama, on the economic cost of violent conflict in Maluku; Nashrul Wajdi, Sri Moertiningsih Adioetomo, and Clara H. Mulder, on interregional migration; and Stephen V. Marks, on non-tariff trade regulations. Heath McMichael, Edmund Malesky, Ari Kokko, and Sjamsu Rahardja contributed book reviews.

BIES is published by the Taylor Francis Group, under its Routledge imprint, and located at Taylor & Francis Online. Housed in the Indonesia Project in the Arndt–Corden Department of Economics at The Australian National University, BIES was founded by the late Professor H. W. Arndt. It has been published continuously since 1965. The Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Jakarta publishes BIES for distribution in Indonesia.
