The launch in Canberra was held in Hedley Bull Centre, ANU. 42 people, a third of which are females, attended this event. ANU Pro Vice Chancellor for International Outreach, Erik Lithander, gave the welcoming speech and introduced the Indonesian Ambassador to Australia, HE Mr Nadjib Riphat Kesoema, to the audience. A speech by the Ambassador followed and he himself launched the book. Hal Hill then spoke and gave introduction about the book. The formal event ended with a end note from Budy Resosudarmo. The evening itself continued with refreshments provided to the guests. Books were available for purchase as well during this launch.

Approximately 40 people attended this Book Launch, mostly academics, graduate students and the general public.
