ANU Indonesia Project Research Travel Grants

  • Masayoshi Ike from Swinburne University of Technology. Research topic: Sustainability practices of Japanese manufacturing multinational corporations (MNCs) in ASEAN Member States. Supervisor: Dr Jerome Donovan.
  • Amara Steven from The Australian National University. Research topic: Women in Indonesia’s Blue Economy: understanding user needs through female stories and experiences in Nusa Penida, Cilacap and Lombok. Supervisor: Dr James Butler.
  • Bronwyn Jones from The University of Melbourne. Research topic (tentative): Soenting Melajoe, the first all-female edited women’s magazine in the Dutch East Indies (1912-1921). Supervisor: Associate Professor Kate McGregor.
  • Sarah Stephen from The University of Melbourne. Research topic: Poverty tourism in Yogyakarta. Supervisor: Dr Dolly Kikon.
  • Veronica O’Neill from The University of Sydney. Research topic: Framing illegality: the discourse of maritime piracy in Indonesia. Supervisor: Dr Dwi Noverini Djenar.
  • Owen James from The University of Sydney. Research topic: Intra-party governance and anti-corruption policy in Indonesia. Supervisor: Dr Elisabeth Kramer.
