ANU Indonesia Project Visitors semester 1 2015

ANU Indonesia Project hosted four visitors during the first semester of 2015. Below is the list:

Yose Riza Damuri, from the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), visited the Project from 25-31 January to complete the ‘Survey of Recent Developments’ for the April edition of the Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies. On 28 January he presented his Survey of Recent Developments at the ISG. You can read the Abstract and listen to the Podcast [MP3,23MB].

Rimawan Pradipto visited from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) from 28 March – 30 April to conduct research on corruption in Indonesia. He gave a talk at the ISG on 17 April: ‘Better late than never: an assessment of court decisions of corruption cases in Indonesia’. You can read the Abstract and listen to the Podcast [MP3,22MB]

On 20 April he spoke at the University of Canberra on ‘The Role of Information in Perception of Fossil-Fuel Subsidy Reform: Evidence from Indonesia’. You can read the paper here.

On 21 April, he was the speaker at the Economics Trade and Development Seminar, Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU, Australia : ‘On the Complexity of Eliminating the Fuel Subsidy in Indonesia: A Behavioral Approach’. The paper is available here.

Arie Damayanti visited from the University of Indonesia (UI) from 18-22 May to complete the ‘Survey of Recent Developments’ for the August edition of the Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies. On 20 May she presented the Survey of Recent Developments at the ISG.

Yuri Sato, from the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE) -JETRO, Chiba, JAPAN, also visited the Project from 18-22 May to complete the ‘Survey of Recent Developments’ for the August edition of the Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies. Yuri also presented the Survey of recent developments together with Arie at the ISG meeting on 20 May.
