Student/staff training

Copland G027, Building 25, ANU

Tuesday, 5 September, 2017 - 09:00 to 12:00

Learn how to access, download and customise the bespoke maps available on CartoGIS's Asia-Pacific MapsOnline website.

You'll be shown how to navigate the site, understand the difference in file formats offered, their intended uses and how to download a map file. Then using Adobe Illustrator CC we'll teach you introductory skills in editing a downloaded map. At the completion of the course you'll have learnt how to customise a map to suit your needs and have it ready for inserting into your thesis or presentation or to forward directly to your publisher.

We are running two sessions which cover the same material. You can choose to attend either Tuesday 5 September 9am-12noon or Thursday 7 September 9am-12noon.

Register via HORUS or ISIS: Course code GIS007, session options: 0012 Tuesday 5 September or 0013 Thursday 7 September.

Cost is FREE but please note you will be required to enter a charge code as there is a $100 no-show fee. If you are unable to attend and provide 24 hours notice the no-show fee will not be charged. Contact your School finance officer for assistance in identifying the appropriate charge code.
