Wednesday, 20 September, 2017 (All day) to Wednesday, 8 November, 2017 (All day)

Are you interested in learning another language? Seeking an edge in the “Asian Century”? ANU College of Asia & the Pacific will host a series of Asian Language Taster Classes at the Baldessin Precinct Building from 20 September through to 8 November.

Classes will be held each Wednesday from 5-6pm. Taught by our academics, seven languages will be covered in the series: Mandarin, Burmese, Hindi, Taiwanese, Indonesian, Thai and Korean. Our aim is to give students a “taste” of different languages in a fun, collaborative environment.

Each lesson will cover basics of the language including greetings, introductions, pronunciation (and, for the adventurous, maybe a tongue-twister or two). Advice and information will also be available for students interested in adding a language to their current degree.

Whether you’re eager to refresh your existing knowledge or starting from scratch, learners of all levels are warmly invited to attend. Bookings are not required – just bring your brain and enthusiasm!
