In this seminar Tony Wiskich will present his thesis proposal review on Economic Modelling of Climate Change. He will discuss preliminary results for the first paper on the uncertainty of climate tipping points and the optimal carbon tax. The paper incorporates a tipping point into a prominent climate DSGE model and investigates sensitivities to tipping point characteristics, energy substitutability and technology growth.
