Living Water: Journeying in inks

Water is the life blood of civilisations and an important element in many spiritual traditions all over the world. This exhibition draws on the ancient traditions of Chinese brush work, interpreted through the lens of European abstraction. The Chinese government is receiving increased pressure over its archipelago of mass detention camps, holding approximately one million Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (also known as East Turkestan).
