This paper examines the macroeconomic implications of debt stabilisation fiscal rules in Sri Lanka using a calibrated DSGE model with heterogeneous economic agents. It analyses the transmission mechanism of debt stabilisation fiscal policy configurations viz distortionary taxes, government spending and fiscal transfers.
