The Columbia-Harvard China and the World Program (CWP) is co-hosting a conference with the Australian Centre on China in the World (CIW) in Canberra Australia's Australian National University (ANU) for this years CWP Conference.

December 17th, 2019 will be our public day full of panel discussions and guest lecturers from all over Australia and numerous locations internationally that are largely pulled from the extensive alumni network of CWP and the depth of expertise from the greater Canberra area. December 18th will be our keynote address and a moderated debate between Dr. Hugh White and Dr. Oriana Mastro.

The days events are free only with advanced registration.

12:20-1:20 pm: “State Strategies under Global Rules: Chinese Industrial Policy in the WTO Era” Yeling Tan, University of Oregon

4:20-4:30 pm: Video Address “The Future of China in the World” by Kevin Rudd former PM

4:30-4:50 pm: “How to Defend Australia” by Hugh White, Australian National University

4:50-5:10 pm: “How to Defend Australia” by Oriana Skyler Mastro, Georgetown University & The American Enterprise Institute (AEI)

5:10-6:30 pm: CWP Co-Directors will moderate a public discussion with questions being asked of both lecturers.
