The unprecedented growth in international migration warrants further study of its potential spillover effects to human capital formation. We use geographic information of non-migrant households to establish migrant peer networks based on proximity and clustering, and exploit the quasi-randomness of the distribution of households within smaller neighborhoods, after controlling for sorting into broader neighborhoods, to identify proximity and neighborhood clustering effects.
