Interactive maps add colour and interest to websites, wattle sites, lectures or presentations, and make it possible to show more than one layer of information.
CartoGIS source, create, store, and disseminate high quality digital material including maps and diagrams, innovative interactive products and animations to support education, research and outreach activities at the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. Our services are available to the College’s staff and PhD candidates.
Service delivery changes from 1 September 2014
CartoGIS's free data visualisation service will move to a trial fee-for-service model from 1 September 2014 for all professional and academic staff at an hourly rate of $85. PhD students will continue to have access to the non-fee service, with review in January 2015.
The current quota system will continue as:
- Journal article – 4 visualisations
- Monograph – 10 visualisations
- Educational resource – 15 visualisations
- Thesis - 4 visualisations
All work requests are to be made using the online request form.

Digital Learning Project
The Digital Learning Project (DLP) promotes innovative use of online and multi-media resources to enhance the learning experience of our students on campus and across the global digital landscape.
CartoGIS works with the DLP team to provide engaging visualisation resources (maps, diagrams, interactive material) for use in education (course websites and Wattle sites, MOOCs, smartboard resources, etc).
