Further to my post of June 26, Bangkok remains awash with yellow every Monday. I can also report, with some authority, that the city’s major wholesale clothing markets remain stocked with hundreds of thousands of yellow shirts. I am not exaggerating!
This shot - taken earlier today on an average Bangkok street - shows most pedestrians are out and about in their yellow shirts. It is indicative of a nation-wide pattern. Today I passed a number of schools where the students are obviously encouraged to wear their yellow polo-shirts on Mondays instead of the standard uniform.
If any non-Thailand based New Mandala readers want to place an order, just let me know!
Stay tuned for more yellow shirt updates…

Please note: New Mandala encourages vigorous debate. However, for the moment we will only be publishing high-quality comments that make original contributions to discussion. There will, of course, still be space for pithy, humorous, eccentric and cheeky input. Short and sweet will usually trump long and involved. Repetitive ranting, unimaginative point-scoring and idle abuse will not be entertained. Comments which carry a real name are also more likely to be approved.
