Some new reading from publishers in Thailand:

forests.jpg

Lang man ton mai (Behind the forest curtain) by  Wirasak Chansongsaeng examines the lives of forest people, from the mountains to the sea.  ISBN: 9749295242

For cooking hints from this side of the forest curtain you can’t go past Tamra kapkhao phra’ongchao churairatsiriman lae wang bangkhunphrom (Recipes of Princess Churairat  at the Bangkhunphrom Palace).  A very standard cookbook  (like many others) but fur lovers can feast their eyes on the cover. ISBN: 9789747223835

Kila phuenmuang thai phak nua (Traditional Thai sports of the northern region).  A charming and interesting guide to local relaxation, with ample illustration. Volumes for the other regions are also available. ISBN: 9749967038

    Forest, fur and fun:

I was looking at Google Images/Forests and I found this site.

The beauty of your language is a delight to my eyes. I’d like to understand more about yur language.

Please note: New Mandala encourages vigorous debate. However, for the moment we will only be publishing high-quality comments that make original contributions to discussion. There will, of course, still be space for pithy, humorous, eccentric and cheeky input. Short and sweet will usually trump long and involved. Repetitive ranting, unimaginative point-scoring and idle abuse will not be entertained. Comments which carry a real name are also more likely to be approved. Thank you for your ongoing interest and contributions.
