A new look for NM

August 7th, 2007 by Andrew Walker · 4 Comments

We are experimenting with a new look for New Mandala. This will enable us to add some useful features, such as the upgraded search facility. There will probably be some teething problems, so please let us know if you have any comments or feedback.

The old theme was aesthetically more appeasing I think. However, if this is more functional then as a man, I cannot judge!

I personally like this new lean minimalist look.

I love the new photos. The one with the farmers is great. Its good how the pictures change on different pages. More photos would be great!

I like the new look, but I find it a bit hard to handle as you cannot find entries that just slipped out of the list “recent entries” straight away but have to make a search in the categories…
I suggest, that as there is quite some white space at the bottom you may expand the list of recent entries a bit, say, to ten articles.
Saving space by having a drop-down menu is a good idea though.

Please note: New Mandala encourages vigorous debate. However, for the moment we will only be publishing high-quality comments that make original contributions to discussion. There will, of course, still be space for pithy, humorous, eccentric and cheeky input. Short and sweet will usually trump long and involved. Repetitive ranting, unimaginative point-scoring and idle abuse will not be entertained. Comments which carry a real name are also more likely to be approved. Thank you for your ongoing interest and contributions.
