Yeah, it opened. Every bit the no-hold-barred, action-packed anti-SPDC propaganda reel you'd expect from Hollywood, A review is here. I was in cinemas for about month, but didn't do very well at the box office, clobbered by the likes of Step Up 2, The Spiderwick Chronicles and 10,000 BC.

Does anybody remember Rambo opening in Thailand? At the time of this post, Major Cineplex said it was due to open in mid-March, but I don't remember seeing any advertising or stuff in the papers. Just me being blind, or something more sinister...?

I saw Rambo in dvd at a friends house and it was really violent, lots of blood and gore. My friend in the States said that it was one of the most violent movies he'd seen in a while, I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of the movie is blurred out or banned in Thailand completely.

I mean come on its Rambo and besides, if we're gonna have to pay to see the movie, shouldn't we deserve to see the original version that wasn't censored. Either ban the movie completely or leave it alone, blurring is just stupid and annoying!!!

I just got word of a March 13 release date for Rambo in Thailand. Have to wait and see how much of it is left after the censors are done with it.

Thanks Grasshopper,

We will wait and see. As Narcisuss says - the editing suite is probably working overtime. Nonetheless, the Singaporeans have it already.

Happy to hear from any readers who have other information.

Best wishes to all.

I talked to one of my friends. She said it's coming out in Thailand out in March.. I guess they need time to edit the movie.. bah. I'll just buy the dvd before the destroyed version hits the cinema's."
