Yes, we know who is backing the yellow mob. But we can only gossip and whisper. We are not allowed to say it. It is FORBIDDEN. That’s Thailand’s biggest problem – INEQUALITY and (lack of) freedom of speech . How can we change this? When will we get freedom of speech? When will we be heard? When will our voice be respected? How do we get rid of repressive laws and the ‘Sakdina’ system? The upper-class have all the power and ‘APISIT’ (meaning privilege). They are Sakdina. They do everything to keep us lower-class under their feet. They think we are stupid and they treat us like dirt. Please, you Farang, HELP and give us some answers. We ordinary Thai people are desperate and in despair.

It’s clearly about Thaksin backing the red mob!!

Hey Mr.Graham, if this writing infers to Thaksin, it ’s not necessary to circuitously say like this. Except that you want to speak sarcastically for censorship in Thailand.

The mob here refers to the kotex mob for sure. Red shirts people are only a recent phenomenon while pantamit/pantamarn mob has been terrorizing the country for years !

Actually it reads ประชาชนรู้ ‘ใคร’ หนุนม็อบ! with quotation markers around the “who.” This is unambiguous to me. Why would a vandal protect a reference to Thaksin with such careful language? Wouldn’t they just use some Thaksin epitaph writing anonymously as they did? Who in Bangkok refers to Thaksin as ‘ใคร’ out of subtlety or fear? I’d expect some reference to his square head. This is clearly anti-PAD/anti-monarchy graffiti.

“Why would a vandal protect a reference to Thaksin with such careful language?”
Maybe this “vandal” was worrying for the wealth of his father ?
Surely if “someone” found about the author, he or his father would be hacked to death after having been sent coffins …

In popular vernacular, which side is most often described as “ม็อบ”? I have heard about red-shirt rallies, demonstrations, movements, etc. Even the PAD uses terms other than ม็อบ to refer to them, as far as I have heard. The reds are more often described as an elite cabal ruling over ignorant masses rather than a mob.
So, correct me if I am wrong, but ม็อบ can only mean the ม็อบ that took over the airport. I would also guess that the word was FIRST used in that context.

Folks, no use arguing about something so obvious!

Dear respondents
I am Thai. I know very well what dose “ม็อบ! ” referred to which group between yellow or red shirt. And also who are behind ‘ใคร’ หนุนม็อบ! . If you were recently following what was happened in Thailand. you will know as I do.

I’m sure Mr. Graham was being sarcastic hence the !! at the end of this comment.

Some more pics at Prachatai Thai version, with more than 200 revealing comments (although the better ones are now censored) referring to the king and queen by nicknames and by various terms well known to Thais. If NM readers were expressing doubt as to who the graffiti referred to, Prachatai readers seem convinced of identities.

If Mandala reporters will do a little more research on many public toilets, especially within many gas stations all over the country. He/she will find many more direct mentioning on “Who’s behind the PAD mob?” The action is the same as it was during the Sept 19, 2006 coup., but directly, not subtle!!! Go ahead.

I cannot wait for those reports to start coming in
