They’re probably Thaksin fans anyway. Most policemen are. Don’t bother to ask them why though! There’s no logic about it. The senior leads, the freshies follow like sheep. And like most local freshies week activities, it ends in disaster.

Sometimes, I am amused seeing those anti-Thaksin guys get hot seat whenever Thaksin phones in.
As I listened to his conversations, it’s just a conversation that he talks with his fans. That’s all. He talked about himself, he talked about how he’s been. He talked about pitying the poor and he expressed his concerns over the Thai economics. He even offered some help to the government. He asked for reunite. etc.
Some may say it is his tactic. But I see nothing wrong with the phone-ins. Those people, they are just too panic.
They are afraid of Thaksin for being loved by so many Thais.
and they can’t stand with that.
Even the Q. secretary cried out yesterday at the opening ceremony for Royal Projects Promotions via website. She claimed why the royal is being attacked.

Because, Athita, there is a long history on both sides of this argument of people droning on for hours on end about their daily thoughts. In your comment, you identify these two groups. The motive of both is always the consolidation of MY power & wealth. So yes, there is something wrong with it. These two parties constantly do their utmost to portray it as a struggle in which they alone provide the only options. Do you really want to destroy one monopoly just to find you have installed something every bit as sinister?

Hey Reg, read your comments. However, people must be given choices. You can’t say that majority rules is wrong unless you are part of the minority who have ruled this for over 70 years. Let it go and listen to the people even if your kind may think that they are uneducated. Don’t forget one thing, they have HEART bigger than all your wealthy and so-called educated type combined.

Hey Sween, you haven’t read my comments at all. You are just putting your spin on them. You might want to look at the comment about freshies tp side and wonder if that is a pro-elite remark. I most certainly don’t belong to the wealthy (so-called) educated elite of this country. Perish the thought!
I’m actually criticizing the very same people you accuse me of supporting. For all their supposed wealth and education, neither side in this conflict has done anything concrete to help the electorate other than sling them the occasional desultory 500-1000 baht in return for a mandate to rob them of even bigger sums of money. I have yet to see a single government in this country that is capable of really listening & responding to their ordinary citizens needs. All they do is preach down. One turgid sermon after the next. The elite aren’t even remotely capable of following the rules themselves, so how do they ever expect any one else to do so.
Yes, ‘they’ have a heart. Much more so than their self-appointed rulers. As for education, all I see is university-educated people who think it is OK to steal other people’s money and assets.
My original post is about the need for more choice than the current lousy choice of two factions with the same corrupt intent.
I’m listening. You seem to be listening. That’s more than we could ever say about either side in this ridiculous power struggle.
