Newspaper clippings on Samoa

 • AU PMB MS 700
 • Coleção
 • 1899 - 1902

William Blacklock (1856-1942) was a trader and United States consul-general in Samoa from the 1880s to 1905. See Pacific Islands Monthly, June 1937, pp.28-31.

The year 1899 was an eventful one in Samoa: Germany annexed Western Samoa, the United States established control over Eastern Samoa and Britain renounced all claims to the Samoan Islands. The clippings cover these and other events in Samoa.
