Academic Staff: List of Experts - Help Page

Overview

This facility allows the user to list academic staff of the College of Asia and the Pacific by both country of research and 19 discipline areas.

Academic Staff are members or visitors in the College of Asia and the Pacific.

The Asia-Pacific region has been divided into 7 smaller regions which may be viewed on the experts home page.

How to use the facility

There are two ways of using the facility - via the dropdown menus at the top of the page or via the maps, most of which are clickable. (Only maps of regions where there are at present no staff specialists are not clickable.)

Using the maps

Select a region, say South East Asia, and click on it. The program will return a page with a map of South East Asia and a list of academics who specialise in the region, grouped by country of research.

Click on the map for a list of academics who specialise in a particular country in the region, say Indonesia. This list is currently broken down into the broad discipline groupings of Economics, Politics and Security, and Society and Culture, however hese discipline categories have recently been extended and will be progressively updated to reflect these new categories.

Click on other countries on the map for a similar list.

For the complete list by region, country or discipline select the appropriate item then click the "Select" button.
