Informal Research Seminar: “What can Australia learn from the Nordic countries about human rights compliance in prisons?”
CIGJ visiting PhD Scholar Anita Mackay’s research is reframing the way in which the relationship between human rights and prisons is thought of, shifting it from what states ought not to do to what they should do in order to prevent human rights violations.
On Tuesday, 3 September, Anita will present an informal seminar in which she considers this question through a comparison of human rights compliance in Australian and Nordic prisons. Details can be found here.
