The CAP Student Centre Relocation November 2018

Due to the Coombs Refurbishment Project, the CAP Student Centre will be moving again from Monday 19th November 2018. Further details about the Coombs Refurbishment Project are available from http://asiapacific.anu.edu.au/news-events/all-stories/coombs-building-refurbishment-project

What does this mean for you?

The CAP Student Centre Front Counter will have a new location. Effective from Monday 19 November, the CAP Student Centre will be located in the M Block Demountable between Menzies Library and the China in the World Building.

To find us from the front entrance of Coombs, go down McDonald Place (past Menzies Library on the left), before the car park, turn right and our building is adjacent to the tennis courts. Can’t find us? Give us a call on 02 6125 3207.

CAP Student Appointments

CAP Student Appointments will also be located in the M Block Demountable. All students should report to the CAP Student Centre Front Counter just before your booked appointment time.

We look forward to you visiting us in our new location!

Student Sponsorships

The College of Asia and the Pacific has a limited amount dedicated to student sponsorship each year. In order to best distribute these funds, student societies and groups are asked to apply for sponsorship from the College. Applications will be considered each semester, and awarded on the basis of merit. To be considered you must complete a sponsorship application form.

Sponsorship Form

Groups/organisations seeking sponsorships should be asked to submit a sponsorship form, which should clearly outline the details of the undertaking for which sponsorship is being sought, and most importantly the benefits to the College of Asia and the Pacific from participation in terms of the University’s goals and objectives.

Sponsorships can take form of either cash payments or in-kind support (or both). Please be clear in your application what you are asking for. Examples of in-kind support include:

  • On-site displays/poster display/exhibition presence.
  • Promotional opportunities in the media as well as inclusion in media launches.
  • Prominent ANU branding on sponsored event literature, merchandise and advertising.
  • Editorial/advertising in event program or other literature.
  • Provision of content on an internet site/links to ANU from a high profile site.
  • Right to use footage and/or photographs for our future promotional purposes.
  • Ceremonial involvement and/or speaking role to an influential or relevant audience.
  • Hospitality rights e.g. ANU guests at event functions or ANU hosting guests at an event dinner.
  • Inclusion of delegate tickets to an event or conference.

Applications need to be submitted by the end of week 2, each semester. Applications will be assessed by a panel and successful applicants will be informed by the end of week 4. You can apply in advance for events that occur before this cut-off. Eg. Orientation week events need to be applied for in Semester 2 of the previous year.
