We take great pleasure in inviting you to the launch of the ANU Indonesia Institute. The ANU Indonesia Institute is a new body established at The Australian National University with the goal of coordinating and promoting the wide range of research and teaching on Indonesia conducted at the university, and to deepen the university’s Indonesia connections in all fields.
The Institute will be launched by the Vice-Chancellor of the ANU, Professor Brian Schmidt, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Y. Kristiarto S. Legowo. The event will also feature a brief cultural performance and an exhibition of ethnographic photography on contemporary Indonesian Islam and urban life.
The launch will be an opportunity to meet with a variety of persons with an Indonesia connection from the ANU, government and the wider Canberra community.

  • Friday 10 August 2018, 5pm for 5.30-6.30pm (light refreshments served at 5pm)
