Marshall’s, Polynesian Journal 1951-1953, (p.183) states that Marshall borrowed the Dictionary from Rev. Murphy in May 1952. (PMB 1335) There is a Ms. note on the title page of the Dictionary as follows: “Note:– This MSS. is the property of the Compiler. (Rev G.H. Eastman, London Mission, Beru, Gilbert Islands.) “It is placed on loan in the Library of the London Missionary Society, Rarotonga, for the use of members of the Mission pending completion of the printing of the book. “It is requested that the MSS.
