Primary Landing Page
Landing Page Type Selection Drop-down menu

Select your Landing Page Type from the drop down list.

The main difference between the Landing Page types is how and where they are used. While all landing page types are built the same way, the category options for each type is different.

  • Primary Landing pages are the standard landing page across the site. These usually appear on the primary menu and feature a full width banner at the top.
  • Program pages are used for advertising our educational programs
  • Schools and Centres landing pages provide general information about our academic areas.
  • A Story Landing page has no banner can be used where a story layout is needed within the landing page site structure.

Set your Content Category for the page.

This category effectively controls the breadcrumbs for you page. For example if you chose Study, the breadcrumbs would display Home > Study > Your Page

You will have different category options based on the type of landing page you've selected.

Add media button

Enter your Heading for the page. This heading will become part of the URL for your page so choose something unique and concise 

Click add media to choose your Header image for the page. The header image will scale dynamically depending on your screen size. To accomodate wide screens, make sure your banner is at least 2000px wide. A height of 500px is also recommended. 

Add images from Photoshelter

Official photos should be uploaded through PhotoShelter to ensure they are copyrighted and licensed correctly.

Search and Select your image and click Insert Selected

Banner text can also be added which displays in a grey translucent box over the banner.

URL search box

Banners can also have two buttons added to link to additional content.

Add a URL and the Link Text for the button.

You can use the URL entry to search for internal pages, or you can paste the full URL for internal or external pages.

Body text entry box

The Body section is the optional first paragraph on the page. This accepts formatted text. Note that Drupal actively filters out some html tags which can cause a security vulnerability. If you'd like to include custom html, please contact CAP web team.

From here the page is free for you to design and customise with the following paragraphs. To see examples of how each of the paragraph sections look see the Section Design Samples page. More details below

  • Banner - an edge to edge image with the same aspect ratio as the banner
  • Button - a button with a URL and Link Text
  • Call to Action - List of items with image, text and link to additional content with various layout options
  • Template Library - Pre-saved paragraph templates for re-use
  • Grid - Allows you to configure various sections across 2 or 3 columns
  • Media Section - Add Images and videos along with text and links for display. This section is very versatile and has many layout options to explore
  • Dynamic Content - Links content dynamically based off taxonomy and other attributes to display things like upcoming events or articles within a study area, etc
  • Group - Lets you collect multiple sections under the same heading and sub heading with the same background colour.
  • Link Content - Similar to the dynamic content but it always you to link to specific items.
  • Text - Allows you to put in formatted text in a standard or collapsible layout

All paragraph sections have header information then a detail section.

Header information includes:

  • Layout Type
  • Heading
  • Secondary Menu Friendly Heading (for the sub menu under the banner)
  • Body
  • Background colour

The detail section usually consists of multiple items which vary depending on the paragraph type.

Classifications options

Classification section is used to add the taxonomy / linking data used in dynamic content such as:

  • Related Academic Area
  • Broad Theme
  • Narrow Theme
  • Related Program
  • etc

This is used for category searches and category views.

Domain Access controls which CAP Domains will have access to this page/content. Ensure your Domain is selected.
