Overview

Event Layout

The basic layout for the event page includes:

  • Heading
  • Hero Image
  • Summary Information
  • Event Details
  • Additional Information Sections

Event Example

Summary Information

Event 1
Event 2

The blue area is where you will find all the summary data for your story.

Enter the Title of the event.

The for the Story Type select Content Centre > Events

Select your Hero image for the event by clicking Add media

Event 3

Now select PhotoShelter image and search your image catalogue for a suitable image or the image you have pre-loaded into PhotoShelter.

Once you find and select the image, click the Insert Selected button in the bottom right hand corner

Event 4

Your hero image should now appear and you can continue filling out the remainder of the summary information.

 

Enter in your Summary and Body text.

This is the information displayed when your event is listed on other pages.

Event Details

Event 7

By selecting the Event Details checkbox you will see the additional details you can add to standard body and start / end dates

Event 6

Enter the details for your event:

  • Event Description
  • Cost (free text)
  • Star and End date (using the date and time pickers)
    • you can use the Add another item button to make multi-day events

 

Event 10

Event Location can be optionally added using the name and latitude/longitude coordinates.

Or you can use the Set Map button to open the location finder.

Event 10a

You can setup event speakers profiles by clicking the Manually Input Speaker button.

For these profiles you can set:

  • Image
  • Name
  • Bio
  • Role
  • Affiliate departments Internal / External
  • Profile Link (Pure)

 

You can do this for multiple speakers

Event 11

To finish off this section you can add a link to any event registers you may be using to track attendance.

Zoom has a popular option for booked meetings

In the bottom pink section you can add any additional information you wish using the standard page sections:

  • Banner
  • Button
  • Call to Action
  • Template Library Sections
  • Media Section
  • Dynamic Content
  • Group
  • Link Content
  • Text

Classification Details

 

    Event 13

    This section is used to store the metadata and linking data for your event to be connected to schools, departments, and other research, events and articles.

     

    You can set related data for:

    • Programs
    • Academic Area
    • Stories
    • Broad Theme
    • Narrow Theme
    • Trending Topic
    • Region and Country
    • Field of Research
    • Publish Date
