Why study this program?

The Graduate Diploma of International Affairs equips you with the knowledge and skills required for understanding emerging issues in international affairs. The program explores the ways in which globalisation, development, democratisation, terrorism, human security, war and conflict drive political developments in the Asia Pacific, and around the world.

The program provides a pathway for entry into the MA International Relations and the MA Strategic Studies. Students who are considering proceeding from DIAFF into one of these MA programs should seek advice from the relevant Program Director in order to ensure that the courses taken during the Graduate Diploma are eligible for credit towards their chosen Masters degree.

Pathway to a Master degree

You may wish to consider extending your Graduate Diploma to complete a Master degree. Study in the Graduate Diploma of International Affairs may count as credit towards the Master of Diplomacy, Master of International Relations, Master of Strategic Studies, Master of Pacific Development, Master of International Law and Diplomacy, or Master of Political Science.
