Preserving Pacific Heritage, Connecting Researchers and Communities
The Pacific Manuscripts Bureau (PAMBU) safeguards the documentary heritage of the Pacific Islands. From fragile manuscripts and rare printed works to personal papers and community archives, we preserve materials at risk of loss and make them discoverable to researchers, students and Pacific communities worldwide.
PAMBU's collection is one of the most extensive bodies of non-government primary documentation on the Pacific Islands available to researchers. Through preservation, digitisation and collaboration, we ensure these invaluable records remain protected, discoverable, and actively used.
