- Pièce006 - Young fellow from south of Hagen who wanted to join the Police. He liked the uniform, rifle and bayonet, knew about aeroplanes and ships. A bright spark. PNG's future, but liked his tobacco.
- Pièce007 - Girl aged only 7 or 8 asking for tobacco for herself. [Kerawagi, Chimbu]
- Pièce008 - Young child wearing shell, Kerawagi, Chimbu. Shell denotes status/buying power. Same girl as in No.70.

- Pièce011 - Bush kanaka tru', Sepik. Note comb through nose.
- Pièce012 - Native policeman's wife from Lae with baby (aged 4 months) stationed with husband at Mt Hagen Police Station.
- Pièce013 - Recently married woman with her younger sister chewing betel nut and lime. They had been working in their garden. The older woman could speak reasonably good English having been to a mission school. Note pig fence in background.
- Pièce014 - Old couple from south of Hagen in 1950s. The woman is the man's only wife.
