Note
Paul Mitchell note, November 2019: 'RNZAF personnel Padre Osmers, ‘Lofty’ Spencer, Jimmy Jones, Flight Lieutenant Doug Hall, and John Walton in front of the yam house at Wolyamp (Meteniamb) in which they slept. Beside John Walton is Kaoul Nelang (sporting leaf hat) of namal Leikumu in Meteniamb, and the only other known person is Kabong Ntowiea, identified by a deformed right foot. Kaoul remained in Meteniamb, whilst Kabong later went down to Dixon Reef and lived his life out there. October 1st, 1944 (Photo, Dr Mike Oliver).'
