About Us

We study the deep-time history of our environment through the disciplines of palynology, palaeoecology and archaeological science focusing on Australian and Indo-Pacific region. Our understanding of past natural and cultural landscapes can be viewed through the looking glass of microscopic remains and our state-of-the-art laboratories and natural history collections support researchers and students in their quest to reconstruct landscape change and investigate the role of people, place and time in shaping the world in which we live today.
