Throughout his career, Hank Nelson used his teaching, writing, and commentary to promote PNG and its peoples.


This endowment celebrates his pioneering and enduring contribution to the study of the history, politics and society of PNG. It directly supports an annual student award for the best Higher Degree Research thesis submission.
