Throughout his career, Hank Nelson used his teaching, writing, and commentary to promote PNG and its peoples.
This endowment celebrates his pioneering and enduring contribution to the study of the history, politics and society of PNG. It directly supports an annual student award for the best Higher Degree Research thesis submission.

As an alumnus of the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, you are part of an Asia-Pacific literate community of nearly 10,000 members. Our alumni are spread across the region and the world. They are engaged in careers and personal endeavours that impact the Asia-Pacific region and Australia's engagement with the region.
