Some in country experiences require a student contribution, generally referred to as the Program Fee. This will be in addition your tuition fees. Program fees may cover items such as group accommodation, internal travel once you arrive at your destination, some meals during the course or group entry to museums etc. Program fees will be listed in the Global Programs portal at time of application and confirmed in your letter of offer.

Do you want to combine study and travel during your semester breaks? In-country language courses allow you to complete intensive courses during the Summer and Winter holiday sessions. These courses combine the excitement of overseas experience with the benefit of rapid advancement in language proficiency.

Do you want a course that takes you out of the classroom and into the field? Study tour courses give you the chance to do first-hand research in an overseas location.
About
These courses are delivered intensively and run between four to six weeks. Students undertake preparatory classes at ANU before being accompanied on the study tour by an ANU academic. Courses may incorporate language training, field work and visits to institutions.
Duration
Four to six weeks. Study tour courses are held in Summer, Autumn, Winter or Spring sessions.
Destinations
Study tour courses have run in destinations all across our region including Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Japan, Samoa, Fiji, Hawai'i and Mongolia.

Students who complete internships gain a range of practical skills and can also experience a rapid acceleration of language competency. Interns partake in activities such as journalism and communications, translation, business planning, English training, and research.
