RegNet PhD and Roland Wilson scholar, Suzanne Akila will present at Harvard University’s Institute for Global Law and Policy conference in early June.
Suzanne will present on the Sex, Sexuality and the State panel along with Maryan Hassan (SOAS, University of London), Lucia Belucci (Università degli Studi di Milano), Ivana Isailovic (Université libre de Bruxelles), Yugank Goyal (University of Hamburg). The panel members will present on issues from same-sex marriage, sex-work, female genital cutting and Suzanne will present on the the ‘Voice of the state, right of the victim: The gendered nature of protection in international law’.
