The Centre for International Governance and Justice and RegNet warmly congratulates PhD scholar Jacqueline Parry on the submission of her thesis, entitled ‘Transitional justice and displacement: lessons from Liberia and Afghanistan’.
Jacqui’s thesis offers a study of the way transitional justice has engaged refugees, using two case studies – Liberia and Afghanistan. The case studies allow Jacqui to scrutinise the claims of the existing scholarship, and compare them with the lived experience of refugees. The interaction between transitional justice and refugees emerged as an active and multilayered site of conflict and negotiation.
